Guidance to societal benefits and assessments of genetically modified organisms (GMOs)

Societal benefit is one of five criterion for GMO-applications regulated by the Norwegian Gene Technology Act. This report presents a model for determining the societal benefit of a GMO.

The report is translated from the guidance launched in February 2018 by The Norwegian Biotechnology Advisory Board and the Norwegian Environment Agency.
